PreMac Foods: Solving the Noodle Problem with a Healthy Twist
Worried about how regular noodles affect children’s digestion, especially due to maida and artificial flavoring, Ms. Prema from Brindavan Nagar, Coimbatore, set out to find a healthier alternative. While working as a school teacher, she noticed many children falling sick after eating maida-based noodles. Realizing that banning noodles wasn’t the solution—since kids love them—she decided to reinvent them.
Quitting her job, she pursued training across Coimbatore, Bangalore, and Chennai, only to find they all focused on maida-based recipes. Determined, she experimented at home with millet flour and, after three months of trial and error, successfully developed noodles made entirely from small grains without maida or artificial additives. Today, through her brand PreMac Foods, she offers millet noodles made from eight types of small grains—a tasty and nutritious alternative loved by children and parents alike.
